Huey-isms

Houston is my child most concerned with what he got or didn't get versus his brothers.  Adam insists it must be a first-born thing because, as much as I hate to admit it, I have that tendency as well.  Chalk it up to "fairness".  Sounds better, anyway.  Well, after the long Thanksgiving weekend, I was getting the kids ready for their first day back to school.  Houston remembered that he went to school last Tuesday and Hayes did not (because of his eye).  As he is pulling his shirt over his head, I witnessed the lightbulb go off.  "Can I stay home today since Hayes didn't go to school last Tuesday?" he asks me.  In efforts to be extremly fair to both of them, I replied enthusiastically, "Sure, bud!"  His face began to fill with excitement as I finished, "Bust your eye open and I'll let you stay home."  He began putting on his shoes and socks.
