So if you watched the Shout Out to Holt video posted a few days ago, you might remember that Houston confessed he was looking forward to changing Holt's diaper. Well, it seemed like there was no better time than the present. We had an extremely friendly nurse, Ann, who really seemed more like family. She was in our room visiting when the boys arrived. It wasn't much later that Holt dirtied his diaper. Adam and I teased Houston about changing it, reminding him of the video from a few short days ago. After hearing the story, Ann insisted on Houston changing the diaper. Surprisingly, he did not put up a fight and I think secretly he was kind of excited.
Houston was holding Holt on the couch and Ann instructed him to stand up and put Holt in the bassinet. Grandma couldn't watch and I do believe she held her breath the entire time witnessing Houston attempting to get Holt into the bassinet with little or no assistance. (Of course Ann was standing right there should he need help!)
Sure enough, Ann walked Houston through changing the diaper from start to finish! Definitely something we could get used to at home!
