Sleeping Baby

So lately Holt has given us trouble with staying asleep.  You change his diaper, fill his tummy, wrap him up snuggly, rock him to sleep, lay him down, and ten minutes later he's magically awake again.  This gave me fits today since I played this game with him ALL day beginning at 2:30 am.  By 8:00 am, he was extremely fussy (and me too for that matter) because he was so tired but still would not fall asleep for good.

We have noticed in the past week or so that he adores sleeping in his car seat.  The only thing I figure is that it just holds him so snuggly.  Whenever we get home from a car ride, he is passed out in the car seat, where we leave him until he wakes.  Sometimes, this could be hours later.  This did not work today.

He also likes sleeping in his bouncy seat as long as the vibrating function is turned on.  It runs for about 10 minutes before powering off.  If you're lucky, he will stay asleep beyond the initial 10 minutes.  However, more times than not, as soon as the vibrator turns off, he will wake himself in a matter of minutes.

Desperate times called for desperate measures.  After fighting a fussy insomniac baby all day, Adam came up with the ultimate solution:

Yes, this would be Holt asleep in his car seat on top of the vibrating bouncy seat.  Worked like a charm.
