Adam injured his back on June 2nd. He's been flat on his back, either on the couch or in the bed, since then. The kids are really missing being able to play with him. Even more so, he is missing playing with them.
Houston and Hayes have been attending VBS this week. Hayes came home today and announced to his dad that he raised his hand during prayer requests and asked for them to pray for his back.
Later that night...
Hayes: Daddy, what's the best thing that will make your back better?
Adam: Just time, buddy.
Hayes: Then you should ask for that for Christmas. So then it will come true and your back will be better!
